This was a gift to each of our grand-nephews (one child just turned 2 and the other child was almost 4). Although we haven't had much contact with these boys we decided anything Lego within their ("recommended") age group would be a hit. We bought them in different colors so the children (and parents) could distinguish which one belonged to which child. We were fascinated that each child could figure out how the two plane halves went together. The older child immediately realized there was no door, so he took the top half of the plane off and added the pilot and passenger and put "the lid" back on. (Not a big deal.) The younger child realized what his brother had done and followed. We watched as the children played independently for a while and then joined each other on their "airport".This is a perfect gift idea for any child between ages 2 and 5. And, since we have many grandchildren and great grandchildren, realize that "Age 2-5" doesn't restrict to only those ages. It's the "recommended" age group. The two-year old had just as much fun (and challenge) as the older child!Great for children 2yr up to 5yr . Although the older ones will play with it..it's a little to young LOOKING for them.My 6 children ages 2yr up to 10yr love to play Duplo'sI would decide to buy this for a child over 5 by the maturity of the child.Duplo is great for the little ones who want to play with Legos but still too young! They fit in their hands and are easily put together and taken apart. The Airport has 2 'vehicles'--the plane and a car. This was a big factor in why I bought it.My 6 children love things that roll!Pro:Big enough for the young onesNo small partsEasy for 2yr to build and play withPlane opens to place people inside and closes with them inside as wellGas pump2 vehicles with wheels- plane & car3 peoplevery durableEasy to pack in an old lunchbox when going out visiting or to lunch.ConsNeed a case, box or bag to put the Duplo's in so they don't get lost. We use old backpacks and lunch boxes.I got this for my daughter when she was 18 months old because she loves airplanes. The age on the box says 2-5 years, and I think this is a really good guideline. My daughter is still a little young to actually "build" with these. I help her build things, which she then usually tears down. However, she has still really enjoyed this set. She especially loves putting people inside the airplane and then closing it up. She likes the fact that she can see "people" in the plane. Over all I think this is a really good first set of legos (duplos). It has a good mix of people, regular blocks, and specialty pieces. I think over the next few months my daughter will grow into this set more and will be able to play with it on her own. This is a great Duplo set. I gave it to my grandson who is a little under 2 and he had lots of fun with it. It is a toy he can grow with and do more things with as he gets older. For now he likes putting the people and suitcases in the plane and rolling the plane and truck around. He likes the little gas hose too. Be sure to look at all the variations on the box as the wheels can be used to make a trailer behind the little truck and putting the luggage box on the truck also makes a place for suitcases or spare legos. For a toddler, the pilot might end up sitting on top of the plane (he likes that the people can wave goodbye) and extra legos can be attached to the wings or top just because that's where a toddler might want them. Even in a few days I saw him catch on to how things can go. Really fun toy.Awesomely awesome awesomeness. Of course! It's LEGO! Extremely well made and the chunky Duplo sized pieces are perfect for wee toddler hands. This was a gift for my 3 year old grandson. I am, and will always be, an unapologetic LEGO addict starting 32 years ago when my own son was 3. I happily enabled our son's LEGO addition, and I am completely guilty of now indulging my grandson's budding LEGO addiction as well. This set creates a grand opportunity for my grand-boy to learn to share by taking turns with me, his Gramma. Get this set for your kiddo or your grand-kiddo, you will all have endless creative fun.Duplo has been in my child's life since she turned 1! She was first interested in the people, then the blocks and finally started figuring out how to build. This is a really great addition for any child that likes planes (and after being on a plane, what child doesn't!). The only gripe I have with Duplo is that their sets are very gender stereotyped. My daughter asks why all the people working are boys and all the passengers are girls!I love Lego Duplo, and this set did not disappoint. Having travelled recently, my kids appreciated the truck carrying the luggage, and the baggage check. The suitcases fit perfectly in the arms of the Lego people, and the pilot is adorable. The airplane itself separates so you can sit the Lego figures inside the airplane. With the cover on, the Lego people can look out the windows - really cute and realistic. This set also had more pieces than most Lego sets, which I always appreciate. This set is fun, colorful, and has many options in one box. The price makes it an excellent value because you get a big plane, car, 3 figures and a few blocks. My major problem is that the plane has no doors. To get anything inside you have to take the top completely off. If the design were different it would be a 5 star for me. My boys don't mind taking the top off each time but my 2 year old needs help doing it. Again for the price it's still worth it and I would buy it again. We have 2 of these for the kids. They love it so much that they need to have one each as they play together with it. The gas up part is a fun piece! This, along with other lego duplos is perfect toy for kids starting from age 2 onwards. My daughter is already 7 years old and still loves to play with our duplo collection although she has Lego Friends collection as well.Very fast delivery, well packed.Easy to use for 3 years old and +.Only 4 stars because by accident I ordered 2 and wanted to send back 1 but I had to pay back the post back and it was gonna be almost the same price as the product. Not worth it as I'm a prime user and save delivery part. This is a wonderful basic set for little hands. Our 3 yr old grandson built the airport with some assistance from his older brothers, then he added many other elements from his big box of Duplo Legos--extra planes, people, terminal building, etc.very usefulBought this before my grandsons first flight. He loved it!
