Bed is well made and soft but heavy material. I have two new Sheltie pups and this fits perfect with room for their growth.. Most important, they like it and use it.. I have purchased cheaper beds, (under a hundred dollars) and the material is harsh and stiff. My dogs would sleep on the floor next to the cheap ones. They use this bed for napping in the day and sometimes at night when they aren’t in mine ! I am ordering another for the office when they get a bit bigger..
