My dog is a purebred mix of several fine breeds and is tough to fit. Everything I try is too big or too small. He has a long body (think German Shepherd size), large chest, average neck, and SHORT legs (think short Basset Hound or Corgi legs). He was 3 different sizes in the measurements for this garment! but due to the adjustability with two Velcro straps it fits great! I believe it would fit different shapes and sizes well. Also it’s very high quality, thicker & more padded than I thought, very soft fleece, and definitely keeps snow and light rain from wetting his fur. The reversibility works perfectly. The hole for the leash is too far back for him but that doesn’t matter for us because the garment stays put. The wee little pocket is cute but it does puzzle me—maybe for a couple poo bags or biscuits? My only small criticism is that the Velcro is VERY strong to the point of being difficult to separate, but this is probably a bonus in the long run—the last one I had I had to toss after 2 yrs because the Velcro totally wore out. Also he looks very dapper in the black and red hunter plaid. I definitely recommend this one.
