? Active cats? Playful cats? Cats who aren't intense scratchersI barely got this lil toy out of the box before my cat, Eddie Spaghetti, started to play with it. From the first second, he was obsessed. It was the hardest part about setting up the toy because he wanted to play with the thing.The instructions were easy to follow. I found them on the back of the box. It reminded me of LEGOS, just a few images and steps then BAM the owl was set up.I wanted a toy for Eddie Spaghetti so he could entertain himself while I'm at work all day. And this was a success! He loves it so much he brought it into my room to play with. Then when I returned home, he didn't greet me because he was too busy playing.There are 3-4 play options (depending on how you wanna look at it). There's the dangle toy standing above the owl, the scratching post area, and two different sets of balls around the eyes.My main issue is the scratch area started to fall apart right away. I can't tell if this is due to Eddie Spaghetti being a heavy scratcher or how the toy was made. By day 3 one half of it was coming off with little pieces everywhere. I didn't mind it peeling off because I'd find a way to replace the material.The biggest problem that poses a possible risk is the little string pieces being loose. If I'm not home, Eddie Spaghetti might try to eat one of these. I'll either need to take it off and replace it with better material or put it away when Eddie Spaghetti is fully unsupervised.Anyway, I'm super excited to finally find something that Eddie Spaghetti super loves. It's been a search. I work at a pet store and am always bringing home toys he pays attention to for about five minutes then is done. Meanwhile, he loves his owl so much. I touch it and he runs over to play with it.Our boy kitten just destroys his scratchers and toys at a rapid rate like most do at that age. He's a good boy who has already learned those are for him, not the chairs, and he uses them. So far this one isn't his favorite but he still likes it and attacks the attached toy. The wooden fish design is attractive too.Once again the cat accessed my Amazon account ... and this time ordered this interesting contraption. What is it? A cat scratching pad to exercise feline claws? A feather toy to bat around? A wooden pedestal for the CAT to sit on? All of the above?!?The cat told me that this is a good product and gave it 5 stars because of the entertaining value, rolling balls, feather lure, scratching pad, and solid wooden base.I on the other hand, had to deduct 1 star because it came without directions for assembly!!! Also one of the eyes was unglued - probably knocked off due to the parts being loose inside the box. Packaging needs to be made better at the factory. Perhaps bag the loose parts.Overall, the cat is satisfied with the product. But on a few occasions the cat prefers the box that the product came in!
