I bought this to replace a similar toy that my puppy had loved to shreds after a few months. This was an okay replacement, but not perfect. She doesn't like it as much, because the ropes are shorter and the nubby part is longer than the beloved predecessor. But it keeps her attention for a short while. Many of her other toys (and beds and anything else) get shredded to deah within minutes (no exaggeration), so this is doing pretty well. My daughter says it is great double-duty as a foot massager/roller.It's pretty small and the rope is short, doesn't extend much past the rubber - it's not their favorite toy, but it is holding up.When it came, I thought it would be too huge for my 5.5 lb Shichon puppy, but she LOVES it. The ends, of course, are easy for her to grab, but even the large middle fits in her little mouth because it's softer plastic. She looks so funny running with it, but will enjoy it for a long time, I'm sure.My dog, Chuckie, is a chewer and loves his other rope toy but this one left him cold. Next time I'll take him to Pet Smart so he can sniff before the purchase.we have a 35lb toy wrecker who loves this toy and so far it passed the terrier destructo test. it is still in active duty today.I've found this toy to be great for playing tug-o-war with my dog! So far, it seems pretty durable (after 2 or 3 weeks) and my dog still likes it!
