He loves the sound, it's durable and well made. This is the 6th or 7th toy I've bought from this company and they're by far, the favorite toys of both my dogs.My dog is literally obsessed with this toy. I bought him a few of the animals and I think he needs them all now. He doesn’t put them down and he doesn’t know which one he wants to play with more.Has stood the test of time as it still squarks. We have pretty much all of the Multipet talking toys. I purchased this one (yellow chick) for my very neurotic and anxious rescue dogs birthday in May 2018, and it quickly became her favorite toy.She takes it to bed with her, and if she forgets, she runs back downstairs to find it and puts it in her bed before curling up with it.. She carries it outside and sets it down on the grass carefully when she pees, and then carries it back inside. She carries it around during the day whenever she moves from room to room.Chicken Little is multipurpose! It is a handy chin rest, a cuddly toy, a chew toy and it magically turns into a ball when it's time to play fetch! Chicken Littles mother shows only occasional interest in another toy, and doesn't play with balls at all, since chicken came to live with us.Chicken Little has lost one foot completely, and half of the other. It is more than a bit grimy due to all this loving attention, but it actually still chirps! Maybe because our bigger dog isn't allowed to play with it (that dog has learnt that the Multipet talking toys make a lovely cracking sound if you chew down hard on them, so some of our others have stopped talking). If she does manage to get Chicken Little, Chicken Littles owner, gets very anxious and waits to dive in to retrieve it then runs away and hides on the stairs with it until the threat of disembowelment is over.If she is asleep with Chicken Little and someone approaches, she opens one eye to keep watch that no one steals chicken! The Worst Night Ever happened when Chicken Little got left on the other side of the baby gate at bedtime! (see morning photo)I decided we needed a backup chicken so am buying one today. Hopefully if the time comes for Chicken Little to go to the big chicken coop in the sky, Chicken Little Junior will be readily adopted!UPDATE Jan 2019: Well we purchased another chicken for Christmas 2018 and the fur fabric has been changed from a dense fur and well stuffed body to a thin scruffy type of fur snd more loosely packed stuffing and this new chicken (which was readily adopted after a few days and now has become a replacement for old-dismembered chicken) is ALREADY (after just three weeks) splitting badly at the seams! The previous version lasted ten months with extremely vigorous play and survived being carried around everywhere all day every day and eventually lost both soft feet and finally a wing at the last minute (the wing loss meant stuffing finally started coming out) This new one felt way less firm and more fragile from the start so we have been playing with it more gently but despite this it has split badly at the neck seam after just three weeks!! I am very sad cause at this rate we will need to mortgage the house to keep her in chickens because she isn’t interested in any other toy! So disappointed in the fabric downgrade!!!My Great Dane LOVES these little chimps! Occasionally he will quiet the screeching noise by biting down too hard on the noise box, but he is not destructive to the toy. He currently has several "babies". He received the first one as a gift over 2 years ago.My dog could not get enough of it but had it torn up pretty fast but ill be buying another one!Are dogs absolutely love this toy. It makes such a loud and entertaining noise for our dogs and it's a good size for our dogs to be able to shake and "squeak". This is one of our dogs absolute favorite toy, they will play with it till they are out of breath and even then start playing again if it makes noise again. It's very sturdy, at least for lapdog sized dogs. There are only two downside to this, but it could be a deal breaker for some. It's squeaker's/sound box's durability is very low quality. As mentioned previously our dogs are lapdogs and they are not aggressive and they don't play rough, but the first one we bought lasted only about a month till the sound box stopped working and the second one we bought only laster about two weeks but was temporarily fixed after opening it up and making minor repairs, but it stopped working again a week later. Without the noise this toy loses all of its appeal to our dogs sadly, but we don't mind periodically buying another when we can and it's inexpensive. This is my PitBull’s favorite! It is actually his second one! He loves “Peep!” He basically talks to me with it. He takes Peep to the door & drops him before he goes out. He picks him up on his way back in. It’s always with him!I do wish it could be washed but I know that would cause it to stop peeping. His first one finally wore out from so much ❤️!Sadly the item I received was not the one that is shown in the picture please check size before purchasing.the toy is suitable for a small dog like a Westie not a large or medium dog like the picture shows. They also say it is a Happy Pet Product which it isn't it is made my multi pet. The picture shows her previous loved toys to show size difference.I would firstly suggest that you only take notice of the Amazon Verified Purchase reviews as the majority of the 5 star and 4 star reviews have not been proven purchasers "in my view" and the majority of the 1 star and 2 star reviews have bought off Amazon.I bought two of these toys for my two German Shepherds, two very small monkeys arrived, the dogs seemed very exited at recieving these talking toys however that was the last time I heard them talk, 15 seconds later both dogs had broken the monkey sound, after feeling the toy it seems as though all of the insides have been chewed and fallen to bits. The quality of the "workings" makes the toy a waste of money.I cannot stress this enough SAVE YOUR MONEY and buy a quality talking toy that maybe costs a little more or like me will have two small monkeys that say nothing that the dogs are no longer interested in.We saved this little chimp for Christmas and as a result had a lot of very annoying chimp giggling through Christmas lunch. The toy is smaller than expected, just about the size of a melon, has soft fluffy fur and a 'push-me' activated chimp noise maker inside it's chest. The noise maker feels hard through the toy and has hard edges and I do worry that should the dog get it out of the chimp it would shatter. We only allow him to play with this under supervision and only for short periods. Having said that the dog quickly figured out how to make the noise start and he's happy doing that for a while. The toy doesn't get the same rough and tumble treatment as most of his other toys though - he doesn't seem to want to chase / chew / play tug of war with it.nice plush toy, makes goods sounds which the dog enjoyed, but only lasted a couple of minutes of tossing around and playing, because some of the insides started sticking out of the toy, even though the dog was being supervised, so i had to take it away and dispose of it. it is small so would be more suitable for a smaller dog as mine is a labrador. After reading the reviews, i thought i had found a toy that my dog could play with, that wasnt food orientated, but once again i was proven to be wrong and if you have a very active dog i would not recommend buying it.I bought this for my new golden retriever puppy, who will be about 6-8 weeks when he comes home. When it arrived it was smaller than expected, but given how small my puppy will be I think it will be the perfect size for him, at least for a little while. However, it's incredibly annoying. The noise is high pitched and lasts for far too long (because it's so annoying), and resembles a monkey (as described). I pressed it around my older golden retriever and he looked at me as if to say 'why are you torturing me with this horrible noise'? So he isn't very impressed with it. As to how my puppy feels, that has yet to be determined, but for the sake of my sanity (and the sanity of my elder dog) I hope he finds it just as annoying as we do. In saying that it's not a bad quality, it's reasonable for the price and it seems quite safe. I worry when I get my dogs toys with sounds in because they have a habit of chewing things to pieces, but this seems fairly durable...
